When life gives you lemons… In 2018, artist Sandra Curitore was 39 years old and life gave her lemons as she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Invasive lobular carcinoma with lymph node involvement; ER/PR positive, HER2 negative. The plan: 6 rounds of Chemo, Double Mastectomy, 30 rounds of Radiation, Reconstruction and Hormone therapy. The original piece is created with acrylic paints on canvas.
